a good friend of mine before was able to gave me some amount as a form of gift. but now she's so very angry with me... and she insisted on taking back the money as if according to her I HAVE A DEBT with her. and secondly, she texted me a lot of degrading messages and even tried to pose me a threat that she's going to send somebody to my parents and my office to collect for that alleged DEBT of me.

100% yes

don't delete the messages. if you do they are not 100% gone. go to the place where your phone is from. tell them you have to get a print out of your text messages for a lawyer. ask for the store manager and if they can't help ask for their boss for more help.

hopefully you have not deleted these, you can show them to a lawyer from your own phone. the lawyer will be able to guide you on how to get the text messages printed onto paper. I am guessing they will need to have this in black and white for evidence.

you can go to the police if she is making threats and harassing you. Show them the text messages and let them hear any voice mails she leaves. maybe they can help too.

whatever you do keep everything and keep handwritten log of when she calls or texts you just in case.

just brainstorming. i hope something helps. if you are over 18 then your parents dont have to pay. i doubt they are stupid enough to just pay someone. same goes for your office. chances are she will get her *** thrown into the back of a cop car doing either of those things.

You'll have a difficult time proving it was a gift and not a loan unless you have something in writing, which evidently you don't. Either way, she gave you money "before she was able". She sounds quite generous and you need to pay her back.

Usually defamatory libel (published) requires that it is seen by a third party, and "intentionally" - meaning it can't be you showing it to a friend, they must ensure that someone else gets to see it by sending it to them or, publishing it or, putting it in a public space.

Call a lawyer.
