I was in a accident where I slid into the rear end of someone I was going about 35 mph. and the air bags did not deploy and my seat belt did not lock up, so unfourtantly I ended up hitting the stearing wheel and the dashboard, that hurt! Was wondering if any one could tell me why that might happen and what I could do to fix the problem. I bought the car used and don't know for sure that it even has the airbags in it, though they are suposed to be there. The car is in the body shop right now and I was wondering if they could fix the problem with the seat belt?

I would report it and check with Ford as those cars had a bunch of recalls and maybe yours hasn't been taken care of. I read in one used car guide describing the Focus as a death trap and driving one you're risking your life!

Your airbag should not have deployed for that.

Make sure they check the sensors anyway to make sure they werent damaged or shifted in the crash (dealerships have a bad habit of not doing so in low speed crashes).
Also stress the seatbelt issue when you talk to them. If youre not satisfied with the answer tell your insurance company and again stress that you dont feel theyre safe and all that jazz.

Why is it a shaggy dog tale she became no longer wearing a seatbelt in a vehicle she is to blame for wearing a seatbelt it truly is the regulation. in case you do not placed on a seatbelt and characteristic an coincidence you'd be heavily injured, she became stuck and were given fined, it isn't the Police's issue of how she is going to pay it it truly is her issue for breaking the regulation. only lend her the money to allow her to pay the effective i'm particular she will manage to pay you again even as she will manage to.
