People sometimes claim that the Bible demonstrates fulfilled prophecies, thus proving divine knowledge, but of course they're not really prophecies because they're things that were written thousands of years ago about things that happened thousands of years ago. If a rational person is going to be convinced about prophecy, then it needs to be related to something that hasn't happened yet.

So: Are there any specific and unambiguous prophecies in the Bible, with at least an estimate of the date they are expected to occur, that we could evaluate in an objective way? Needless to say, as well as being unambiguous they must also be risky - "The sun will rise tomorrow" may be a prediction that is fulfilled, but it's not exactly sticking your neck out... Self-fulfilling prophecies will not do either.

Any takers?

"it is foretold that a figurative scarlet-colored wild beast, which has proved to be the United Nations..."

Stop right there. Exactly as Yoda Green said: You pick something to try to fit your prophecy. No-one's going to be taken in by that sort of thing. You'll have to do better than that.

It's easy to show a prophecy when the wording is so very open-ended.
That's how fortune tellers work. Leave things so ambiguous that anything can fit in and make some sort of sense. It's a scam, nothing more.

Yes....one more prophecy to be fulfilled.

Revelation 17:16.......And the ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire.

it is foretold that a figurative scarlet-colored wild beast, which has proved to be the United Nations, will turn on harlotlike Babylon the Great and violently destroy her. Using graphic language, it says: “The ten horns that you saw, and the wild beast, these will hate the harlot and will make her devastated and naked, and will eat up her fleshy parts and will completely burn her with fire.” What this will mean is awesome to contemplate. It will result in the end of false religion of every kind in all parts of the earth. This will indeed show that the great tribulation has begun.

Apparently, it is a “disgusting” counterfeit of God’s Kingdom. This was the League of Nations, the scarlet-colored wild beast that went into the abyss, or ceased to exist as a world-peace organization, when World War II erupted. (Revelation 17:8) “The wild beast,” however, was “to ascend out of the abyss.” This it did when the United Nations, with 50 member nations including the former Soviet Union, was established on October 24, 1945. Thus “the disgusting thing” foretold by the angel—the United Nations—was put in place.

The Fourth Seal – The Beasts of the Earth

We are witnessing the decline of the earth’s environment and resources, a prophetic fulfillment of the Bible.

At the Fourth SEAL, one-fourth part of the earth is to be destroyed before we move forward to the next Seal events (Re.6:7-8 below).

Once the one-fourth part is destroyed, we will move through the SEAL events, followed by the Seven TRUMPET events, and, finally, the Seven Last PLAGUE events.

When the world faces acts of terrorism are we not facing beasts of the earth (Re.6:8, Jude 1:10-11, Titus 1:12, 2 Pet.2:11-13 below)?

Re.6:7And when he had opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth beast say, Come and see.

Re.6:8And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him. And power was given unto them over the FOURTH PART of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth.

Beasts of the Earth

Jude 1:10 But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.

Jude 1:11 Woe unto them! for they have gone in the way of Cain (1 Jn.3:12, Matt.13:38), and ran greedily after the error of Balaam for reward, and perished in the gainsaying of Core.

Titus 1:12 One of themselves, even a prophet of their own, said, The Cretians are alway liars, evil beasts, slow bellies.

2 Pet 2:11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

2 Pet.2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

2 Pet.2:13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;

"Something something something, jesus, something something something, holy spirit, something something something, return eventually."

That's the wording on most phrophicies.

If any specific details were given, the religion would be likely debunked, and people would panic.
