1st off it depends on what age the child is,if under 14,15 then yes parents should be responsible for their kids. (2)If the kid is 14 or 15 then they should be held responsible on their own because they are old enough to know right from wrong i believe.(3) but its up to us as parents to make sure that we have taught our kids right from wrong and not just turn them lose and let them run wild, they need limits and supervision still at this age and discipline for wrong behavior.hope this helps good luck

It is the parent's responsibility to teach their children the rules that society lives by. And once taught, makes sure that they abide by them. The very worst day in this world was when the juvenile laws were changed to give lesser punishments to kids for breaking those laws. Since then, they have used those lax laws to literally get away with murder. How many hard core juvenile criminals use the line "You can't touch me because I'm underage!" Way, way too many of them feel entitled by these laws to live without rules.

Just because a child is out of control, does not mean that a parent has the right to foist the policing of that child onto society. They can ask for help, but they can not ever give up. It was YOU that brought this child into the world. YOU that now needs to step up to the plate and give them the guidance they need to become responsible adults, or YOU that needs to be the first line of punishment in dealing with them when they flout those rules.

And then when you can no longer control your own child completely, you need to accept the strictures that society places on both of you, when they are being forced to step in to take your place. YOU failed at curbing your child's behaviour, so it is only fair that YOU pay for the professional help that society deems necessary. Again, this is your child, your responsibility, your need to pay.

I think they should be responsible for damages done by their child, but not criminal actions, unless it is found that they contributed to the child's crime somehow. For example, if a child is given free reign to do what they want, and the parent consistently ignores any crimes, or gets some benefit from them, the parent should have some criminal liability.

I believe that in most states parents are financially responsible for the crimes of their children.. up until the child is of legal age.. 18...

Parents in most states have to sign a consent for their child to get a driver's license at 16.. otherwise the child has to wait until 18 or 21...

I believe that parents should be responsible for the crimes of their children.. after all, who raised the child to be so disrespectful?

No. Children should be punished for their actions and held responsable.

I do not think the slat should just be clean when they over 18.

Faganism and child abuse thrives in environment where children are "kept" in the dark and over protected.

Childhood can't be protected or preserved. Often the cruelest to children is other children.

Punishing the parents only gets the parents angry.

truly, inspect that article contained in the documents the former day the position a teenage boy become meant to be watching his 5 and a couple of year previous brothers, and quite become getting them intense. the mummy become "dozing" on the time. this is an absolute shame. #a million: you need to have raised your oldest toddler with extra morals than that. #2: Your youthful toddlers should be at a reputable daycare quite of lower than the care of their irresponsible older brother #3: If it turned right into a one time incident, why did the 5 year previous puff like he knew what he become doing? that is a repeat problem contained in the community, and it must be addressed. both the terrible older brother and the mummy should be charged to the fullest volume of the regulation.
