schools? are you talking about high school? college? University?
I am moving country from Scotland to England (about 6 hours drive) to be with my girlfriend of 1 1/2 years. i am going to go to university there because i am changing career. When i first move i will live on my own (or with flat mates) and after the first year we are gona move in together.
If you can do it and you are as sure as one can be on the strength of the relationship i dont see it as a weakness or a dependency, you have to do whats right for you and if you think that's being with that person then yea totally go for it. It also helps if you like where you are going! i hate where i live just now and would much perfer where i am going. Plus i dont have alot holding me here.
What about you? Family, Friends? Prospects?
You wanna change? you should do it, i know that if me and my girlfriend dont work out i will be happy there and will not regret going.
Cheers
Mandozilla

Put it this way:
School determines a lot of the rest of your life, it can be the difference between the streets and a happy and normal life(even though that is a very extreme example) and if moving around mucks up your results that is no good at all. The person you love may not be the person you love in 5 years time and if you made that mistake now, theres no turning back in 5 yrs time.

I would change for the one I loved, but ask yourself this question, would that person change states and schools for the one they loved(you). And then ask them would they change, if they say yeah, tell them that you would be waiting on them. What you need to do, is finish school first and then when finished, then you can worry about moving where that person is.

That's very extreme. I would have to say that love does not ALWAYS stay if you're young and it would be true for the old too.
Don't fall into the 'high school sweetheart' traps because it's much better to challenge yourself as a single person and have the independence in education.
Love is not everything.

There is a lot ot consider -- depending on your age, your family situation, etc. If you have kids, then changing their schools and moving is tough. If it is just yourself, then you have to see what impact changing schools will have on graduating.
Would I do it for someone I loved, and she loved me? Yes -- but only if there was an understood committment to each other.

I would. In fact. I was willing to quit college all together for it. I didn't end up doing it by the way. I was ready to though.
