Was Sri Arovind, also a mystic? I do not know. What I have read in history is that he was a freedom fighter who did not join the ICS even after selection in to the most covetous service in British regime. He was a brilliant scholar in Greek, Latin, English and Sanskrit as well. He made "Vande Mataram" slogan popular whole over the country in 1905 - 07 due to which the British government was compellrd to reverse its policy on partition of Bengal (1905) in 1911.
