I guess an awful lot of people better start lining up for punishment. Oh yeah, there is one heck of a lot of abominations in the Bibles--new and old. If they are all taken dead seriously, things are really going to be a mess.

No, Frogg;sfriend. Please don't try to change what is written to fit your needs. It has nothing to do with the last supper.
In fact, if I remember correctly you just committed an abomination.

I have to keep this and my reputation as factual as possible. I scanned my whole collection last night and some bibles reverse the scenario and have each side served seperately so the guest's custom is not broken and become an abomination. Sometimes I get so fed up with all the handed down books of all religions that have been weighted by the humans that could benefit from small changes.

Translation:
Greed is good. And a very christian thing to do.

Actually, i haven't heard this one. but yeah, there are a lot of abominations in the Bible, esp. old Testament
However, I believe these bans were relevant for the time they were written. EG not eating pork, because it was the animal most likely to have food poisoning. or Killing all the homosexuals, to ensure survival of the Jewish tribes.
In modern times, these rules are stupid, and in some instances, grossly barbaric. So these laws should be just ignored. I can't believe there are still ppl out there who take these parts of the bible seriously.

I believe you are referring to the abomination of breaking bread with non-believers, which is talking about the Lord's Supper. It is for the purpose of remembering Jesus and His crucifixion on the cross as He died for all of us. Sharing the Lord's Supper or Communion with a non-believer is wrong. It is a mockery of Christ for anyone who does not believe that He was broken and bled to death that we might live to partake in communion. Do you even know what an abomination is? It is sin. Laughing at God is a great big one. Beware!

Froggsfriend is right! There is no specific prohibition on sharing a regular meal with an unbeliever in the NT. In fact, it is encouraged! Acts of mercy are strongly commanded. Do you remember these words:
"If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink. In doing so, you will be heaping coals on his head" (giving him something to be ashamed of) " and the Lord will reward you." Jesus Christ
"be like your Father, who is in heaven. For He makes the sun shine on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous."
If this is how God treats His enemies on the earth, why shouldn't we do the same?
Think about it!

Oh Wow! Does that mean all those Christians I saw at church when that bloke in a dress gave me a cracker and a sip of wine are all damned to hell?
I'm really upset now. They seemed really nice. Though I'd have liked a bit of cheese too.

Are you referring to the Chosen People of the old testament, or are you saying it says in the New Testament that Christians should not break bread with non-Christians? WWJD? He broke bread with tax collectors, who were despised by everyone else....

well that explains it for me why Daniel didnt want to eat at the royal table of the Babylonian king. and preferred instead plain simple food.
and why it states in so many places for the early christians not to eat food sacrificed to idols.
i suppose today it might broadly apply in matters of avoiding partying, drugs etc.

lol wow i feel so screwed... I've never really known wether to believe in god or not. If he is real why doesn't he want us to share our bread, and if he does exist I dont think he would have total control, but his intentions are good.
I hope his intentions are good.
