Sure, it was cool when Jesus supposedly turned water into wine at the Cana wedding....that was pretty cool. But what good does it do for ME?

I have had many kegger parties, and when the last keg ran dry Jesus was nowhere to be found!

I don't need some preachy, after-life oriented Savior, I need one who can affect the Here & Now dammit!

Ok, I have to agree to your logic. what is the reason for trying to go against every natural human need and want for the next 80 or so years of our lives so that we get a one way ticket to heaven...you are telling me that if I covet my neighbours a.s.s an hour before I die, even though I lived a sin free life, and I don't have a chance to repent, I am going to BURN IN HELL for the rest of eternity...do you know how long eternity is? It's a hell of a lot longer than 80 years, that's what. Doesn't really seem like the punishment fits the crime, does it?
So, let's enjoy what we've got, and rather use our conscience to tell us when we've done something wrong, not some 2000 old piece of propaganda. And hey, if we're wrong, and Jesus is the only way in, we're gonna have a MUCH better time in Hell with all the rest of the people that believed in any other religion, and those poor bastards that were born before christianity and do not pass go, do not collect $200 and have to go to HELL by default.
I'll wear a pink flower in my hair so's you can recognise me!

It was not only the first of Jesus' miracles, but it was also a precursor to the Last Supper -- where He would offer His blood (in the form of wine) as the blood of the New and Everlasting Covenant.

I may have missed something in your statement..so please forgive me if I am wrong..

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
