I like to take a good book with me and as soon as I get onto the plane I will open the book and I will ask how long until we land and then I will look at my watch and then I will time the flight and read my book and also I will take some snacks with me. Also try to close your eyes and get some rest. That helps. Good Luck

If you are open to alternative ideas, you might try "Rescue Remedy". It is a "Bach Flower" preparation, available in health food stores, sometimes in pharmacies and on the i-net. You just put a drop on your tongue when feeling anxious. Or, you might want to contact a homeopath in your area. There is a homeopathic remedy for fear that can be very effective in these situations.

Seriously if it is very bad, ask your doctor to prescribe Valium or other tranquilliser. I use Valium as i find flying very stressful, and it works brilliantly.

Good Luck
