Yeah that is about right it used to be about £7.50 - £10 but due to inflation all tatoo parlours that are decent charge around £15 for anything 1 inch tall to 2.5 inches tall if you find it cheaper I would be questioning why they were doing it so cheap and if they tell you to use pile cream don't it fades the tatoo quicker and they expect you to go back sooner to get them touched up use vasaline intensive moisturiser that scabs it over nicley and the coulour keps that bit longer.

I guess I would pay upto £100 for a letter if it was big enough and fancy enough. A letter that tok up most of my back would be pretty good value for £100 (although it would be a stupid tatoo would one huge letter).
I'd say for a normal font letter less than 1 inch in size (2.5cm) I would pay no more than £25 and would think that £10-£20 would seem about right.

Just been told by a colleague who does Tattooing
£10 for the first letter and £5 per letter thereafter
He says you were proper ripped off

I've never paid for mine like that. I have a lot of words on me and the cheapest I've paid is $20, the most $60. The shortest word is 5 letters, the longest is 8.

I think that if you go to a reputable place it will be more expensive than going to a dodgy one.
Mind you I would never get a tattoo - what looks good in your teens will not necessarily look great when you're 80.
I heard a story about some punks in the 70's who shaved their heads and had rude words tattooed on their heads. They then became bankers and lawyers and are now losing their hair and the words are showing up again - great story.

I payed £20 for 8 letters and they are the length of a 2pence piece.

Honey you got way overcharged (I have 7 tattoos) the most I would pay a letter would be about $10.00. I have a tat way bigger than that and didn't pay that much.

Hi! I paid £5 each for each letter and i have 8 letters.
At some parlours they charge you altogether which is accompanied with alow price.

hmm I have a tribal tattoo on my back which is about 5 inches wide and 2 inches tall and this only cost £45! I think you were well overcharged!

That is a bit over priced id just not go back to the place again if you want another tattoo, sounds like they ripped you off..
