it will take you about 1 hour as you have to change RER trains at Chatelet. All you need to know regarding times is available through the link below, the last train is 00h13 from gare du nord

as for the price it really depends on how old your kids are. if you're going there on holiday I'd think about investing in a Paris Visite Pass or one of the many travel tickets that are on offer. take a look at the link below and it tells you all you need to know about tarifs etc...
