How can one argue that the Creator is an "intelligent designer" when we humans are forced to revise that which He has created?

And what about the appendix? Why should WE have to remove that useless excuse for an organ, if the "Designer" was so "intelligent"?!

Good point. I mean, obviously when he created it, he had some use in mind for it. I mean, I doute he would have bothered if it was just to have it cut off.

You want to talk about 'revising' what God has created.
What about all the people, who believe that they came from an ape.
Rather than believing we were Wonderfully and Uniquely made a human, from the very beginning?!?!?
Besides, anytime you or someone else tries to fit God, His Son Jesus Christ, or His Word (the Bible) - into a 'box of your ideas or own understanding' -- all you accomplish is to break one of His Laws --- "do not commit Idolatry"

not only that, but we suffer greatly from other things resulting from our design. We only recently tried out the upright posture which has resulted in many back problems for people, as well as extremely uncomfortable pregnancies for our women, as other animals have the belly suspended underneath them, not in front. Our creation was the result of blind evolution. Nature trying out a whole bunch of new things, some worked, others did, most of them are not perfect.

It isn't a revision of humans. It is a sign of the covenant between God and his chosen people.
The Jews were circumsized, the Gentiles were not.

Not in the least - it is there to help show obedience to God
and was used one time, as an aid in battle to win a victory
for the children of Israel.

Read the Bible. It was instituted AFTER the calling of Abraham. What else would you say, that God was inept because he didn't create us with clothes born on our bodies, but made us make our own clothing?

Circumcision is not a Christian ritual, it is a Jewish one although it has been popular for some reason in the USA. It is not normally done in Europe unless there is a medical reason for doing it. Indiscriminate genital mutilation of children should be banned, there is no justification for it.
