I have a dvd drive and a cdrw, when i put a cd in, any cd original or copied, and go in my computer, open the cd it just shows likes its a blank cd. It says "free space 0, total size 0" Then i tried a virtual cd with alcohol 120% and i mount an image and it keeps telling me "please insert a cd into drive G" with any image i mount. I did a virus scan and found a few trojans and worms, fixed them all but still having this problem.

Since you stated they will not read commercial CD's then it shouldn't be a burning program compatibility issue.

Might go into the case and check the IDE cable going to both drives. They probably share the same one. Makes sure the connectors are seated ok. You can also try connecting one drive at a time. One bad drive could be holding up the other. Be sure to change jumper from slave to master, if either are set that way, while testing. If they're set to cable detect now, jumper should be ok.

If that doesn't work, try going into bios to make sure both drives are still detected properly. Update the config.

If that doesn't work, try disconnecting both drives from the IDE cable, go to Device Manager and remove both drives...then reboot. After fully started, shut down again and reconnect both drives. Boot and Allow Bios and Windows to re-detect both drives. You may also want to check for a master boot record virus if this persists.
