One level teaspoon in each pint bottle. When you've sealed it with the cap, turn it upside a couple of times, to mix the sugar. This helps to improve the flavour and the head on the beer.

There are 2 ways of doing this:

1) 3/4 cup of corn sugar boiled in a pint of water then added back
into the carboy (or bucket) prior to bottling
2) 1 tsp of corn sugar per pint bottle

leave 1" of headroom in each bottle no matter which method you prefer

I've always used method # 1 without any problems in 15 years
of brewing
