They have perms now especially made for dyed hair that do not damage your hair as much. My hair is colored and I got a perm a few months ago and it did just fine. Of course it will damage your hair some but not like a regular perm would.

It's not really safe to have a perm at all, but if you want it...

It depends on how long ago you dyed your hair. Give it 4-5 weeks after you dyed it before getting your perm.

NO! If you do a perm on already color treated hair, the end result will be you hair looking and feeling like carpet. Perms are not good for you anyways the chemicals are toxic, and they go straight into your blood stream with in a few seconds of contact on you skin and end up eating at your brain. A study showed that if you dipped your foot in perm solution, it reached your brain in like 15 seconds. Imagine how fast it reaches your brain when it is being poured over your head.
