I prefer female dr for anxiety issues but other times male drs for prostate male urinary symptoms etc. I do go from dr to dr a bit but ive found a really nice female doc of late and she does seem more caring rather than rush in rush out (another day at the office scenario)

I like my male doctor... it's the reverse situation to me. all the female doctors i get are all rushed and impatient, and usually don't make me feel any better. But my male doctor is very patient, very nice, makes sure all of my questions are answered, and has every symptom noted, then gives a diagnosis right in the office, instead of all the females, "well we took a test, and we'll call you when we get the results back in", so that i have to come back in and pay for ANOTHER visit.... um, yeah. females are not good to me... maybe it's the opposite sex doctors that are always best, yeah?

definitely female! for the same reason as you; in addition I noticed that some male doctors systematically want you to take your shirt off! First I thought it was normal because I had only male doctors, but when I started to go see female doctors, I understood that this absolutely wasn't a necessity! How stupid was I!!
And I totally agree that female doctors seem to care much more.

For my female problems I prefer female gyns but for primary care physicians I've had drs of each gender, some good some bad. I'm still on the search currently for a new primary care dr and all of the ones I've tried so far all of them have been female.

I guess a female for personal things, but somehow I trust a male more, although I Must be a little prejudiced, as even though I believe in equality, I read an article that says, if you get to a dentist or meet the Captain of your Jumbo Jet flight across the ocean, and they are female, you sort of think twice.......

I prefer whomever is most qualified and has a good bedside manner to boot. I've had both male and female doctors fit this bill. In fact my OB/GYN is a man and he's much better than any of the females I've seen prior to him! My PCP, however, is a woman.

The females in this country have all been bitches so far. I prefer a male doctor unless it's something like a papsmear, then I prefer a female.

My gynecologist is a woman, and my GP is a man. That's the way I want it. I don't want to expose my privates to a strange man, but otherwise I prefer male doctors. I like men in general more than I like most women, so I guess that's why.
