Chlamydia is a STD, it is NOT the same as HIV or AIDS, it is a differenet disease.
Chlamydia trachomatis is a bacterium that can cause a sexually transmitted infection (STI). Chlamydia infection is very common among young adults and teenagers. However, many people do not know that they have chlamydia, because although they are infected, they may not have any symptoms. About 75% of infected women and half of infected men have no symptoms of chlamydia.

I assume you mean chlamydia. This is an organism akin to a bacteria, often called an atypical infection. There are various types which can affect various systems, there is for example a lung chlamydia which can cause pneumonia. There is of course a much more well know genital chlamydia. This is only spread sexually and its most worrying problem is that it can cause a silent infection in women which can cause sterility by damaging the fallopian tubes.

It is in no way related to HIV/Aids. The only link is that both are spread by intercourse and the risk is reduced by always wearing a condom. Always a good sexual health move!

no it is not HIV........it is a common and ever increasingly so sexually transmitted infection. Often no symptoms are present whcih is why it is important to get checked if you feel you have cause for concern re infection of any kind. To use a condom reduces greatly the risk of infection. If left untreated can cause fertility problems in women and NSU in men. Is easily testedfor and easily treated.
