Hmmm now your argument has many flaws. I think manypeople wil jump on the bandwagon and point out that it must be muslim mothers who are currently bringing up suicide bombers in Palestine - doesn't make someone a good citizen of the planet in my book. Also, are you trying to suggest that in muslim countries there are no unmarried mothers, drug addicts or prostitutes - now you know that that is just not true. And where Sharia law is in place people are deterred from such action by the death penalty - so clearly there are plenty who are tempted otherwise it would not be necessary to have such a punishment. And you also know that Christianity cannot be blamed for the amount of unmarried mothers etc in non-muslim countries. I doubt any unmarried mothers, drug addicts or prostitutes would claim to be practising Christians.

What prostitution and drug addiction have to do with religion anyway? The only thing women cannot do in the Christian world is to become priests (which is something I don't like), other than that women are totally respected and can choose how to live without being ruled by 'man'! And when you say 'good citizens' what do you mean? Learn them shoot from young age?

A statement about treatment of women from a muslim. Now I have heard everything.

First, you group all the West as christians which is definitely NOT the case, especially in Europe. This is like me labelling all Muslims as terrorists.

Second, Christians are taught (or are taught Biblically if not by a teacher) that there is a certain structure within the family and the father is the head of the family and the wife, although equal to the husband, should be subservient to him. This is for good order and to clarify responsibilities.

HOWEVER, we are NOT told to beat our wives when they get out of line or do not do something we say. I know the Koran teaches this. Yes, I understand it should be done privately but it is still acceptable. It also teaches about stoning women for certain acts (whether or not it was under their control.

All of them? So are all muslims good citizens and all Christians bad citizens? If our religion doesn't respect women then it doesn't respect men either. Despite which i don't think its got anything to do with religion that the west has these things since the muslim faith seems to be well established in england at least as are other religions. Maybe aspects of our society don't respect women, but its got nothing to do with christianity. Leave it alone! I'm not christian by the way i just happened to have noticed that the bible doesn't promote prostitution.

No I'm a christian and we honer our wife.
Yes west dose have some women that are unmarried, drug addicts,ect. but those women have not come to Christ yet, that don't mean they won't change. And why single out women, Men are guilty of just as many sins. I don't know anyone that is a Christian that won't admit there life was full of sin and we still make mistakes and have fall backs, but we will keep trying and we will keep learning and our Heavenly Father will take us back no matter how many times we fall.

No, I do not agree. As a Christian woman, I still do not have children, I dress modestly, I am not a drug addict, and I have never been a prostitute.

Yes, the west has young unmarried mothers, drug addicts, and prostitutes. But not all of them are Christian, are they? NO, they're not. If they were, they wouldn't be having sex before marriage, addicted to drugs, or prostituting themselves.

I believe the majority disagree with you. Does this mean if the women your talking about wanted to convert to Islam, you and Muslims like you would reject them...The Lord Jesus would welcome them into His loving arms. Jesus came to seek and to save the lost and that's what the women you refer to are. You are only here by the grace of God.
Personally i have never been any of the above you have suggested but only because of God's grace in my life. As Christians we are here to help show people there is another way to live because we have compassion for the needy the lost the lonely the less fortunate...what about you?

These lowlives if you asked them would probably be atheists.People brought up properly,attending Sunday school etc are taught moral values so would probably not end up like that.
It is no coincidence that the lower church/chaple attendance figures has happened as the number of junkies etc has increased.
Muslims and Christians both put their children on the right path...those who ignore the teachings are the ones who end up in the gutter...it is their choice.

I'm not religious, but I would say Muslims disrespect their women as much as Christians. To truly love a women, is let them be free. To require your women to hide behind their husbands and be answerable to him, is to cage them. They must fear you rather than love you.
I agree that Christianity has lost it's way and that the religious leaders are constantly adapting the scriptures to suit the ever changing demands in order to get "bums on seats". But, all religions are guilty of that. We are seeing that extremist Muslims too are misrepresenting the Kharan and twisting it's words in order to use it as a weapon against non-Muslims.
No religious faith can truly say it hasn't been or isn't guilty of bending their faith's in order to adapt to their needs.
All faith's need to look at themselves with an open mind and ask questions of themselves before ridiculing others beliefs.
Personally, I think all religions are just a way of controlling the masses in order to get them all moving in one direction. We need to stop looking at colour, creed and faith and start looking at the people and realise that we are all just trying to live our lives. As long as there is a man and a women and money, there will always be prostitution.........it's been around for thousands of years. Read the history books and discover that even Muslim's have been and have prostitutes.
