In Thailand they have what they call "serviced apartments," which cater to mostly long--term guests, but most will also rent the rooms on a daily or weekly basis. Many offer 1-3 bedrrooms or studios, most have kitchenettes and will range from basic accomodation to ultra-luxurious in all price ranges. Many have restaurants, bars, pools and fitness centers with daily maid service, hence the name serviced apartments. I know you can try www.thailandservicedapartments.com, they have listings for many cities in Thailand, or you might try whatever city you're going to be in, followed by serviced apartments in your browser (for ex.: Bangkok serviced apartments). You will find Bangkok has the most listings, as it is the business centre of Thailand, but there are offerings in other cities as well. I've had friends who have stayed in a few of the nicer ones, and the accomodation was first rate. Good luck!

There is no centralized listing of real estate in Thailand. Though there are some decents websites that list realtors and properties.
I use www.thaiwebsites.com for general info.
In the real estate section in the lower part of the index there are listings for major cities, Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, etc.
Within it try http://www.thaiwebsites.com/properties.asp for properties. Not all apartments in Thailand have a daily rate nor will they rent on a daily, weekly rate. If you are staying long term then you have a chance.
You might try www.asiarooms.com for suites, plus the site has reviews on most properties.
The best apartments at least in Bangkok are usually near the skytrain or subway as transportation is available and making it easier to get around. I have been going to Bangkok since 2004 and I have noticed that auto traffic has gotten worse and will continue to be bad since many Thai are moving closer to the downtown or the Central Business District because the cost of gas and tolls make it very expensive for them to drive.
There are apartments called "serviced apartments" they are apartments but, they have a kitchen or kitchenette, maybe a small washer and dryer or daily laundry service, security and a pool usually. Almost like a hotel just a little more cozy. Many are much more expensive than a hotel.
Good luck

I think the best apartment in Bangkok are the Oasis apartments. It's about 40 stories high (I think the actual number is 37) and has a large pool and gym on the bottom. On the 7th floor there's a park. There's a laundry mat inside the building, which is rare in Thailand. Several celebrities stay there. The monthly rent is about 400 USD per month, excluding utilities, but each unit is privately owned, so I can vary slightly.
If you're interested, it's located across Pata Pinklao department store on Pinklao, Bangkok Noi. It has a long drive way and a guard at the front of the drive way (sometimes).

Thailand is a fairly large country and has several large cities and lots of small towns and villages.
Try to be more specific on location other than 'Thailand'. Wife/husband, children, ( how many, what gender and ages ).
It would also be helpful if you could state a maximum monthly rent you are willing or able to pay and also how long of time would you be staying.

the place in Thailand are you going? In Bangkok I incredibly have stayed in Baiyoke Skye inn and Baiyoke Suites. Baiyoke Sky is incredibly severe type luxury, while Baiyoke Suites replaced into no longer fairly as luxury, yet nonetheless stunning, and it lined a kitchenette. the two are secure and characteristic markets and shops placed interior of short walking distance. I incredibly have additionally been to Pattaya and stayed able referred to as Jomtien coastline inn. It replaced into placed in a gorgeous quiet section close to the coastline and is a quick tuk tuk journey faraway from the city center. the climate in Thailand is many times incredibly heat and humid. it fairly is fairly useful to %. a easy jacket basically in case it rains or cools off slightly in the night.

If you are looking for a family oriented area, you might try Hua Hin if you like the beach or Chiang Mai up in the north if you want something a little more cultural.. both are well traveled and touristy to an extent... good restaurants etc... but as noted above, more info from you, better answers from us..
