I went to the dentist a few weeks ago and had a check-up and xrays. Then i went back and they showed me the xrays and took more to make sure they hadnt messed up. On the xrays it shows on my bottom right side there is a medium size white cloud area. Its only under one tooth. The one root is normal, but the other one is half gone and the white cloud is there.....like its eating it or something.
Anyone have any idea what it could be? The Dentist said he never seen anything like it before and that its very weird and he would research and get back to me but i am starting to worry.
Thanks in advance!

It is most likely what we call "condensing osteitis" and it is not uncommon. Some people jump in and start root canal treatment, but after 30+ years, I prefer to just follow this with x-ray to see what happens. Often, you can x-ray this in 6 months and then a year and then a year later and see absolutely no change whatsoever. I have see some for 20 or so years that remain unchanged and without any symptoms.

I have person issues with the traditional x-rays. For about 15 years I lived in constant fear because of what I was told after I was given x-rays. Traditional x-rays have too many shadows.

I was told I had holes throughout my bones and that my bones were so deteriorated that I could never be helped with implants. When they did a CT scan they found out that this was untrue and that my bones are fine. I have implants and according to my Doctor I had the hardest bone he has ever encountered in all his 25 years of practice.

I would think they should do a CT scan before allowing them to do something major on you. It may be nothing.

Simple something you ate got stuck inside your teeth or in the gums which is preventing the xrays to pass on . An operation to your gum would reveal the secret. One more possibility is also there you might be growing a tooth horizontally though I have never heard about it before.

The fish you have need to be in minimum schools of 6 each , including the glass cat. Tetras need 20 gallons minimum, glass cats 30 minimum. None of these fish are going to survive very long in this tank, or even in a bigger tank without propper schools, they are sensitive species.

By what I understand, a clouded area is blood or other liquid, usually blood though.
