What little things in your life do you take for granted that if taken away you would miss terribly...
Example...
Hot running water to shower every morning.
so...
What little thing do you take for granted and how much would you miss it?

I know...we tend to take people close to us for granted thinking they will always be there...
it has happened to me also.

I also would be lost without my guitar...

My children. I take it for granted that they are alive, happy, and blossoming. I find it hard to imagine how parents whose children have come to harm or been kidnapped deal with it. Had that happened to me, I would go insane. My children are my life, and my life would be worthless without them.

Forgive me Father for I have taken my pet rodent for granted. He is a little thing. Just 2 and a half ounces and the color of a Siamese cat... Although he is not Siamese or a cat.
And I took for granted the delightful acquaintence of a man who has cared for me but was unable to express it. Now he is leaving and we may never see each other again.

My parents.
My brothers.
Education.
My kitten, Matilda.
Great friends.
Well, these are pretty big things actually. As far as little things go...
Hot water (as you mentioned).
Electricity.
My laptop.
Food in the fridge and pantry at all times.
Nail salons (need my mani and pedi).
Big Macs.
Okay, there are tons more. Gosh, you're making me feel ungrateful. Dang! I do take stuff for granted because I fail to ever consider that they are all just contingent liberties.

Not much. I've gone without a lot of stuff enough to appreciate it. But I take the big things for granted more than I'd like. Like people I love being alive. I try not to, because I've lost my mom and vowed never to take anyone for granted, but it's hard.

The enthusiasm for life I have, the very many friends who are always there to give me a helping hand, the possibilities I have to communicate knowledge and information.

We'll always have water. Even if we have to run to the creek or river.
