He never seems interested until we are off work on a Sunday we're both busy but sometimes I'd like it more than once or twice a fortnight. Every other aspect of our relationship is great. He's just too tired to have sex I guess?

From a guy's point of view there is no such thing as "too tired for sex" we could run a marathon then still be up for it.
Something else is wrong.
Him not approaching you is strange enough, but turning you down when you initiate things? Something is VERY wrong.
Maybe he is cheating on you.

Ohh hun you are making men drool right now with you wanting it more and him not. What other aspects are going on in the house when he gets off work? Are there kids, does he have to do the honey do's, is he out of shape and so forth. There could be things in the everyday life that is destracting him from being interested. Talk about it with him and see what he has to say. Men are visual creatures unlike us women who need to be emotionaly stimulated. How long have you and him been married and when you do have sex what is it like? If there is nothing wrong as in the relationship (fighting, kids, and he still finds you attractive) then maybe you just need to spice some things up a bit to make it more interesting. you should be telling some frieind of yours to just talk of sex to you when your husband is arround .you should pretend to just hide that aspect of your relationship with your husband from your friend but mjust spilling some of the agony .beside that try to be sexy when you go out with him and show some enthusiasm.while talking to him its really infectious.thus lead by example.with some patience you shall find things going your way,

he doesn't have to start if off all the time.
plus, he has to be turned on to start something. so my best bet is to turn him on. wear some sexy lingerie and get up close and personal. be sexual, erotic, and touchy.
he will love it and after awhile he will begin to start. he probably doesn't see you as a sexual person so show him you are.
