This might be better answered from a female perspective, but lets say you like a guy you work with, you hang out, are slightly more than friends, etc. You even have a date planned, but it ends up not working out for unforseeable circumstances
Then you end up talking about how you think the work thing is a bad idea, but still for some reason you let this one pass, but how its probably best to just be friends, and feel that would work fine.
So I guess in the end, my question is, when a woman sort of says that she thinks we can be friends and that would be fine. Does she mean it completely? Is it possible that she says that, but still would want to pursue things? I guess I ask because I am fine with just friends, but I do still want to continue getting to know her, but I am unsure how to approach it I guess.

the case wasn't her just saying she wants to be friends. It was more of a case where she said that she thinks we can be friends, but I think she misunderstood something I said that I really wanted to just be friends, if that makes any sense...

when a girl says she just wants to be friends, she means it. she probably doesn't think it would necessarily work out if she takes the relationship further. keep being good friends with her. who knows, something MAY develop over time. after all, love blooms from friendship.

From a male perspective:
take it as just friends.
Friends can still go out together.
The difference is; you will get to a point where you'll have to hear about her dates...
"Friends" is the kiss of death...
it means she isn't interested enough to "break the rules".
And, in a woman's head..."friends" really means friends.
It means that if you ever try to put a move on her or confess deeper feelings...she may end the relationship thinking it was all YOUR fault.
On a side note...if you adjust your thinking to "just friends" and keep it there...I do know men that eventually "got together" with their just friends...after years of patience.
but is it worth it???
Good luck

If she was really your girlfriend, you would know, because you would have dated or at least met each other. Even if you don't see her naked it is pretty easy to tell if she has big boobs, her shirt sticks out further. Now, since you have never seen her, obviously, I have to assume this is an Internet relationship, in which case she may not even consider herself your girlfriend, if she were, she would at least have sent you a picture. Get out and find a real woman and quit living your life on the Internet.

Friends will Never get together, there is an unspoken rule created by the ladies that once she registers you as a friends, forget about her and move on. If your satisfied as friends then proceed that path and forget about loving her cause it does not happen. Miracle does not always happen, so make a choice and move on

If she says she's fine with it, she is to some degree. I know because it happened to me too. I accidently told the guy i lovd how i felt, and we agreed to stay friends cause he didnt feel that way anymore. No matter how hard i try i can't get over him, even though i would never admit it. Mind you, she might not be like me, and if it was her idea to stay friends then she most likely is fine with it.

you should carry on as normal (friends) if something is meant to happen it will
a girl can sometimes be persuaded to see things from a a different perspective but if she says she just wants to be friends, even if you like her you should respect that and just be friends
