Hello,

Beau's eyelid hair is growing into the eyeball, and sometimes, as it appears here, it is a genetically inherited disorder.

Your dog needs to seek veterinary care to find out what kind of ointment or drops (or surgerical procedure) your veterinarian recommends for this type of condition.

Sometimes, with surgery, they can drop the eyelid enough to stop the hair from growing inward. A little stitch on the lower lid, toward the bottom will often tip it forward just enough to cease this from occurring.

Either way, nobody here can diagnose this for you. You need to seek veterinary knowledge. :)

Good luck.

I can't really see what you are talking about from the picture but yes it is possible for hair to grown into and even on the eye. There is a technical term for this but I can't recall what it is. My dog has it where a little tuft of hair grows closer to her eye (see link below, her right eye as well). My vet said it's not a problem unless the hair is growing into or on the eye. So I would take him to your vet and ask about it. There is surgery to repair it if that's what it is though. Cute dog by the way. :o)

My dog also has eye problems, best thing take him to a vet, maybe it can be sorted with eye drops, it's hard to see from a photo what is wrong. It could be his eye lashes are rubbing against his eye.

It looks like "Cherry Eye" to me, but it's hard to tell in that photo. It would require surgery.

You need to take it to a vet as soon as possible.

very adorable puppy. Umm lets see, yes hair can grow into his eyes, even if he is a short haired breed. I would recommend taking him to a groomer to see what they can do.
