Vinegar is what mom use to put in our bath when we had a sun burn, for some reason it has a cooling effect on the skin. And it does not sting for some reason. Put some vinegar and put it on a cotton ball and put it on the area affected. Try it and you will see. It feels nice.

Put some pure aloe vera in the fridge and apply as needed. It feels sooooo soothing on a sunburn.

Take ibuprofren as well. (Follow dosing instructions!) It will help with the pain and with the swelling that inevitably comes with a bad burn.

From now on, sunblock is your nearest and dearest! Prevention is the best remedy. :-)

There's lot of remedies.

You can take ibuprofen or aleve.

You can put aloe vera or cold lotion (stick in the fridge) on it. Lotions also helps with the eventual peeling.

Baking soda also works.

You can draw a bath with oatmeal in it, if you don't mind smelling like breakfast.

If you go to the store, you can buy sunburn relief spray with lidocaine in it (a topical pain reliever). That's my favorite.

Aloe vera is really good it cools the skin. Solar cain is my favorite its easier to spread over areas like your back and its not as messy as the aloe. It kinda cools and numbs the skin.

Good Luck and Feel better.

Vinegar will take the sting out. Of course you'll smell like a salad but that's a small price to pay.
