Lack of attention and willing to make mistake just to get attention,
But as long as both parent give the child some attention when they came home from work, it should be fine.
I know many couple whom are both working , the children turned out fine. In fact, it's better as it gives the child some space to be independent. It also led into great conversation between parent and child to catch up during dinner.

But make sure they have a very good nanny

Advantages: independence, learn to feed themselves (disadvantage- eating junk food if at home alone)

Disadvantages: feelings of loneliness, neglect, doubting self-worth...depends on how much attention they get and if they feel loved...Sometimes, more mature children get less attention than less mature children. Sometimes, parents are so busy the child might only get attention when there is a problem with behavior, school, etc. It also depends on the personality of the child, but the child feels a lack of approval he/she night be inclined to negative self-images of him/herself. Some kids might act out, because negative attention is better than no attention. No matter how busy a parent is, one should always remember a child needs his parents to be there for him, for his/her emotional, mental, psychological, and physical welfare. 30 minutes a day is a good amount of time to set aside to spend with your child.

My parents both worked when i was a child and they left me with carers that I knew and felt comfortable with, so it wasn't such a big deal. They still spent alot of time with me when they finished work and it hasnt effected me growing up.

People can comment on children feeling alone or deglected which realistically, children will be too fascinated by their toys, games, activities or experiences to be feeling left alone. Ofcourse they'll miss their parents, but to help that situation, they should be left to be cared for by someone the child likes, bonds well with and a comfortable environment.

I have a 3 yr old daughter and both my husband and I have to work. I work because I have to in order to pay off debt. I have been a working mom since she was born. She has been left with family members only though. She is now enrolled in pre-school now and she loves it. It has been so good for her development. She speaks in full sentances and really enjoys school. I never placed her in daycare though. My twin sister keeps her now and while she is just now saying that she misses me. I always make sure we spend quality time together. It's not always about the "quantity" as it is the "quality." Hope this helps.

Someone else will be raising the child. That should have been why the couple had a child, so they could do it.
