According to you god created time and space
God also created man in his image
Are you just trying to put reason behind time and space by putting an image of yourself that thinks like you behind everything?

in my opinion the human brain cannot fully comprehend whats really going on
and that might scare you a little bit, and thats why you need some sort of reasoning that makes sense to you
just my opinion though

I want to get across to you the type of thinking that I had when I became Christian. I was desparate, suicidal, hopeless, and bitter about myself. God was a last choice. I had nothing to lose because I was ready to die, yet there was this ever so slight a improbability that there was a God, and that he gave a s*it about someone, especially a loser like myself.

That was over 20 years ago. So there wasn't time for me to look and examine all the angles, and to rationalize everything according to my sensibilities. I was ready to kill myself and I thought that there was a chance, ever so slight that it might be, to overcome that.

It turned out that God really did give a s*it about me. And I'm here to write to you in this way because of Him.

you have sevearal good points. But isn't that what most if not all religions are based on? Most religions do not have any if not a whole lot of scientific proof or historical evidence to support their claims. All religions are based on faith. This faith is not something that is abstract but something you feel and do.
Reliogion is suppose to make you feel good, to give you an understanding to your life, a purpose, and direction thereof. What would the world be like if there was so such things as God's and no one had any kind of compass?
As a Christian I feel that God really does exist, as did Jesus, and the bible contains directions for us that was God breathed so that we can have a peaceful and content life. After being wiccian for 5 years and going back to Chrisitanity I know what is right. I feel it my heart and I see him working in my life everyday in thousands of different ways. Once when i was practicing whitchcraft I called my parents to tell them about some new crisis in my life. My mother said, Ya know Mindy you life wouldn't be so hard if you let God back into it. I didn't believe her then but know i have found it to be the absolute truth.
I hope I have answered my question without preaching, if not forgive me because i didn't mean to.

My thoughts are that IF such a God existed as is described by Christianity, he would be far to complex to be comprehensible by human beings. Christians don't seem to find the irony in this. We exist in time, space, matter, etc. thus we can't truly comprehend something that doesn't exist in time, space, and matter. The God that the Christian faith describes would, if real, simply be too far outside our realm of understanding.

God creating man in his own image doesn't refer to the body we are responsible for. it's the soul or spirit that drives the carcass or temple of the soul.

as for God creating time and space, your life-time is but a whisp of smoke in the life of God. yet he takes time for you through it all.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion but if you really want to know it God exists or if its just Christians making up stories, challange God to reveal Himself to you. Or would you rather be comfortaable not doing so?
