I want a guy in a suit to hold a sign with my name on it at the airport! How do I get that?

Im headed to NYC and reserved a towncar to pick me up. I was hoping I could have him wait with a sign inside to pick me up but instead they told me I have to call a number when I get there and have him meet me out front. Any body know a taxi service to take me from LGA to 308 W. 93rd St for around 35.00 plus tips and tolls that does the sign service? Its something that Ive wanted since I was a kid. Lol. I know, Im an idiot. But everyones got dreams right? Mines to have my name on a piece of 10x10 poster board. lol.

lol, I want someone with a sign too! How cool would that be? I bet those people feel so important, having someone hold a sign with their name on it!

Just ask the person who picks you up to bring a sign...tell them you'll give them a nice tip lol =D

Unfortunately I believe the sign guys are a thing of the past.
With all the limo and towncar service to airports these days, most large airports (my experience is O'Hare in Chicago) have a side parking lot where limo services wait until the passenger is in and ready. That's why you have to call them. I think that airports have forbidden the name card thing because there would be too many cars parked right out front and it would create a terrible traffic snarl. In all my flying, probably 15-20 trips in the past ten years, I have never see a guy with a sign. Sorry.

Hire a limo-service to pick you up at the airport and your chauffeur will be holding said sign. Just tell them what gate to meet you at and you should be all set. Good luck finding reasonable rates. :p :)

If you pay me i will meet you at the airport and yell your name and have it printed on the 10x10 board. I can have my friends take your pic and pertend you are a superstar
