It depends on how the white collar guy trained and competed. If they trained like a real MMA fighter and had real competitions then the white collar guy wins. Assuming he has some natural ability.

Also the prison guy may or may not be tough. Some of the inmates are tough and athletic the most are just average guys in prison.

it comes down to what ive said a hundred times if youve seen my postings, experience.any ma thats only trained in a dojo or had some fights in the ring would get there **** kicked in a real self defence situation.the problem is so many ma think having a fight with a drunken 65 year old man with a wooden leg is a real situation.and worse still they wont listen and will argue how good they are or there style are.you can have all the techniques and skills and black belts in the world but if you havnt got experience, balls brains and a big heart it doesnt mean squat.and ppl assume that if your a martial artist you cant be a street fighter or been on the wrong side of the fence.one of the first rules of an experienced ma is never assume.im sure the prison guard who answered would agree if you assume you will most likely be dead in a real situation.same goes for a white collar martial artist dont assume that he hasn't been there and done that.an attacker is an attacker and all should be treated the same way.as if your life depends on it.the time you dont do this is the time it will cost you dearly?

Hi there A good martial artist is quite simply a person who can do it, explain it and evaluate what they are doing to change it! Combine the above with experience and a good level of education makes them a good martial artist! Add a little bit of philosophy and worldly wisdom and you have a grandmaster on your hands! Overal a general all round good egg! Renyo makes an excellent point! A thug can fight and he can also be well trained but a martial artist he certainly isnt! Budo contains many things and some of them arent about fighting! Dont you have to be a gentleman and have a good heart to be considered to be a true martial artist? Otherwise youre just classed as a killer or a skilled thug! Best wishes idai

A "white collar" martial artist may know the moves but not necessarily when or how to use them. Plus they aren't to familiar with actually getting hit, or how far their willing to go to win. on top of all that prison fight s are rarely one on one and hardly ever unarmed.

Formally trained martial artists without streetfighting experience will almost always lose to someone who does. It's a whole other animal.
