There is no magic weight-loss pill, supplement, fad diet, or juice. The ONLY way to lose weight is to consume less calories than you burn. Brad Pitt didn’t get cut for Fight Club by drinking green tea, and you won’t either.

Walk for 30 minutes every day including weekends, Mondays, and Fridays. Do at least 30 minutes of weight training each week. Do 60 minutes of additional, higher intensity cardio each week. You don’t need additional equipment—infomercial products like the Ab Lounger, Sauna Belt, etc. are all worthless so don’t waste your money.

Cut back on the foods you eat with high fat and high sugar content. Eat only single servings (read the label) with less than 3 grams trans fat and 3 grams sugars. Your primary source of sustenance should be grilled boneless skinless chicken breasts and canned tuna (in water, not oil). No dairy (except low fat cottage cheese occasionally); no processed meats; no heavy sauces; no chips, cookies, sodas, breads, etc.

Eat breakfast, and eat five small meals per day instead of three big meals. Don’t starve yourself during the day, but if you don't wake up famished, then you ate too much the day before. Stop eating at least two hours before you go to bed.

Get 6 to 8 hours of sleep every night. Turn off the TV and the computer. Sleep is vitally important.

Don't consume alcohol—alcohol is nothing more than empty calories with no nutritional value. Some people will argue that alcohol has some health benefits when consumed in moderation—I’m not debating that—but we’re talking about weight loss here. Lay off the booze if you want to lose the fat.

Drink lots of water, then drink more. Not tea, not Gatorade, not milk. Water. If your urine isn’t almost clear, you need to drink more water.

Good luck.

I found the book to be very informative and easy to read.

I've lost 17 pounds in 12 days, I'm just concerned that I'm losing too much weight, too quickly. I will admit I haven't followed the guide exactly. I'm not sticking perfectly to the listed foods and meal plans (but mostly) and doing very little exercise, but the weight keeps flying off.

It clearly works and if I'd followed it exactly I think it would scare the living daylights out of me because of the amount that I'd lose. So thanks again for the information. I've never purchased anything like this before because they are usually full of trash, but 3WD has been a pleasant surprise.

I suggest that you try body cleansing. I tried it and really got lean quickly. I lost 15 pounds in 9 days and also 3 inches off my waist. I do body sculpting so getting leaner was my goal. My sister did this program too and she lost a lot of weight quickly. I did not know too much about cleansing but there are a lot of TV commercials about this stuff. This is a body cleanse and not just a colon cleanse, I wanted my body to get lean quickly and this did the trick! I posted this answer on a quite similar question like yours. Hope this helps....

First things first. Know your body. Check your height, weight, & your BMI (body mass index).BMI tells you if you're overweight, obese, normal, or underweight. Look BMI at the internet, there are several free BMI calculators there. Knowing these will determine if you really NEED to lose weight & if so, how much you wannna lose.

Second, know your lifestyle. What foods do you eat? What do you do? Are you sedentary , go to the gym or are you active with any sport? Food AND Exercise are key to achieve your goal.

DO NOT be fooled with books, news , dietsor hearsays that you should take O% fat or too much protein or carbohydrates. These three are essential to the body--in sufficient amounts. Taking too much of 1 of the three may result in complications/ illness.

On food, you can't go wrong with eating fruits & vegetables. They have vital nutrients plus fiber, good for digestion & bowel movement. CHEW your food well. There's a recent study that people who chew food well(& hence take a longer time to finish his/her food) do not easily gain weight. WHY? Digestion starts on the mouth. When food is masticated(chewed) well, it helps in the faster digestion of food.Fast food digestion means better bowel movement(meaning undigested food stays longer in your body--particularly stomach & intestine, therefore ADDING to your weight) & better absorption of nutrients(some if not most, helps in losing weight) vital to the body. Make it a habit to eat a meal within 15-25minutes.(I know, in a FAST FOOD & Hi-speed world, this is hard to apply. But if you wanna lose weight, you have to do certain things, right?)

Also, be aware of the calories of the foods that you eat. Higher calories means MORE weight. High caloric foods are ALL junked foods(i know, too bad) those that are fried & almost all cooked the "unnatural" way. Try to stick with steamed or boiled foods. If you fry food often, try to fry in the shortest amount of time possible & try not to reuse cooking oil. Stick with coconut oil(PROVEN not harmful, but actually highly beneficial type of oil), olive oil, soya oil, corn oil--the HEALTHY Oils. Again, more calories means more fat in your body.

On exercise, do BOTH cardio & weight training. Cariovascular workout like walking, jogging, hiking, doing the treadmill & other gym equipments. Cardio workouts flush out toxins and & burns calories(READ: Fat). Weight training(dumbbells, barbells) to increase your muscles. More muscles, LESS Fat. Weight train with the appropriately-weighted dumbbells for your body(i.e., if you're a man, you use dumbbells that weigh more;if you're a woman, dumbbells or barbells with less weight, UNLESS you wanna build more muscles just like guys have).

Remember, everything i stated above is for overall body health.Meaning, you will not only lose weight, you'll be healthy as well.Don't go for quick fixes.Let your body lose weight the natural way. Just 3 things: eat healthy foods, watch those calories, & exercise.

Good luck!

diet control meaning less caloric intake is the only way to lose weight......couple it with exercise for better/quick results. But you have to have loads of willpower for letting go of your favourite foods.......high protein breakfast, a good lunch and dinner consisting only fruit and salads and veg. soups have led me to lose weight and yet remain active and healthy..........so it should work for you also.......and no sleeping in the afternoons...
Try it and see the results.........good luck.
