What does this imply?

1. As Judas was no more part of the group, who was the twelth? Who chose him as Jesus was no more with them?

2. Why was it necessary to keep the number at twelve?

3. Why did Jesus show himself to Simon Peter before he went to all of them?

(1 Corinthians 15:5) and that he appeared to Ce′phas, then to the twelve.

(Luke 24:34) saying: “For a fact the Lord was raised up and he appeared to Simon!”

Cephas is Simon Peter.

Jesus said that he had chosen Peter to be the basis on which to build, like a cornerstone.
Catholics take this to mean that Peter was the first "Pope'.
But the actual idea of a Pope did not arise for another three hundred years.

(Acts 1:13) So, when they had entered, they went up into the upper chamber, where they were staying, Peter as well as John and James and Andrew, Philip and Thomas, Bar·thol′o·mew and Matthew, James [the son] of Al·phae′us and Simon the zealous one, and Judas [the son] of James.

There are only 11 mentioned here.

In Corinthians, Cephas/Peter was also included in the count.

(Matthew 10:2-4) The names of the twelve apostles are these: First, Simon, the one called Peter, and Andrew his brother; and James the [son] of Zeb′e·dee and John his brother; 3 Philip and Bar·thol′o·mew; Thomas and Matthew the tax collector; James the [son] of Al·phae′us, and Thad·dae′us; 4 Simon the Ca·na·nae′an, and Judas Is·car′i·ot, who later betrayed him.

Thaddaeus is not mentioned in Acts 1;13
