i have to fly from washington to arizona. i am not american but i got state id card do i need to show the airline my passport? i really hate to carry my passport everywhere

You don't need a passport to fly between the states with in the US (since you are never leaving the country), you only need a state or government issued ID.

***However***, since you are not a citizen you should call the airline to find out for sure.

Passports are basically mandatory once you're flying to a diverse u . s .. final time I checked, Florida continues to be aside of the U. S.. A state-issued identity (driving force's license) is all you pick.

yup.every airport needs to check the passport of every passenger (if domestic,it depends)to check if you are really qualified.to be sure,just bring it and not to lose it,put it in your jacket pocket or your bag's mini pockets.
