Yes, the fuel settings would be all wrong and the computer would think something is wrong going by tthe signals from the OBD2 and incorporated knock sensors and put the car on limp mode and kill your performance.

Wouldn't work. If you are thinking this would give you a performance boost, you're wrong. Some functions might be the same, but the computer is designed for two different engines.

More than likely, the 2.0 wouldn't run with the 2.4 computer.

well lol you could , but it got numer you need to look at,,, now if it got the same number as your othe one it fit, but, it wont, here way, a 2.0, is different from .a 2.4, it tell the car, when to fire, an by doing this, it be out of ajustment,,, they may look the same but ,they not,

Settings are different, they're designed and set to run sensors differently to the specific car.
