they look the same to their mate? 10 or 15 pounds I can understand...but if you're to the point where you're buying clothes 10 sizes larger than a year ago, how can you not know it???

I've always wondered the same thing! I mean, you don't wake up fat, you have indications all along!!! You don't wear a size 6 one day and wake up a size 20. Your pants are bound to feel tighter and tighter with time, so obviously if they're getting tighter, then you're getting fatter! Good riddance!
The WORST part is, the overweight people cry foul when people look down upon them and then they claim it's none of our business. So sorry, but it IS our business when we have to look at such a sore sight in public.

They do know it, and I'm sure it bothers them terribly. Most people that gain that much weight in a short period of time have emotional issues that are causing them to hurt their bodies so bad. Maybe they are depressed or have anxiety and its causing them to eat, and the more they eat the more depressed they get and so on and so on. If this situation is happening with your significant other, pay attention because she may be going through emotional problems. Try to help her, and dont critisize.

men gain weight just as much as women do. and they may not look the same, but if you are truly in love with them, it won't matter. if you are disgusted by the way they look then you need to reevaluate your feelings, just don't insult her in the process
