It is hot not overpowering as in July or August

June is pretty hot. Not quite as hot as July - October, but the difference is negligible. June 1 is the official start of hurricane season, but the most tropical activity is in August and September. It's very unlikely (but not impossible) to have a hurricane in June. The best activities for June are going to the beach or swimming - both of which require a lot of sunscreen. Well, anything in Florida requires sunscreen at any time of the year, really.
