You may want to try to reintroduce them. If possible put them in their own rooms each for a week. Alternate letting them out and walking around the house. That way they get used to each others smell.

This is how my husband and I introduced our newest cat to the house. The other thing is boys are boys, I have a kitten right now, and she pounces mercilessly on one of my cats (I have 4 altogether). I tried to separate them, but it turned out they were just playing, really roughly, so there is hissing and all. But they are really just having a good time.

By the way, my kitten is a manx mix, they are about as energetic as Abby's. The breed mix could mean you just have a seriously hyper cat.

All male cats are aggressive towards other males. The only thing you can do is allow them to get used to each other. If they are not just playing, you may want to get a pair of thick gloves so you can separate them until they do get used to one another. This will prevent you from being hurt in the process. You might also want to get the new one neutered, this will help calm him.
