there are many support groups online, but no good therapist worth his/her salt would consent to treat someone online. It is essential to be face to face with your therapist.

therapy isnt often free, and i cant think of any site that would ofer free one on one counseling. that said, there are a lot of bulletin boards that deal with depression, and all sorts of deppression related issues. i personally have found some really caring and helpful people and they could also lead you to other resources. one thing to keep in mind though is that you arent necessarily talking to a proffessional, so advice isnt always the greatest. try searching for "online support forums" for depression or emotional disorders...also, try searching for self harm forums (like www.selfharm.org) not because i think you self harm (i dont know if you do or not.i have) but because a lot of self-harmers also have emotional issues.
also, you might think about looking for a state funded therapist in real life...if you live in the us, the department of social and health services can help. there are lots of things out there.

I wouldn't even recommend an online support group. It's just not healthy. The people aren't real in any sense of the word and talk too much like the DSM and less like humans, let alone the tendency for people to over extend and exagerate while in these groups. There's often competition for who's the worst off and for attention. Seek a therapist in person and if you want support group, find one in your area.

There are free on-line counselling sites. You can search google, like I did, for "free online counselling". I saved you some time :)

I've used one listed below and had wonderful results.

Best wishes.
