I have an Insignia brand 37 inch LCD flat panel tv. I set the clock but each time I turn the TV off it loses the time and it has to be reset.

Mysddedal S, your answer sucks and so do you. You probably can't even afford a tv.

It may be how you're turning it off. If it is plugged in to a switchable outlet, like a cable box, then disonnecting power by turning off the box will cause the clock to lose the time every time you turn the cable box off. If the TV is plugged in to a constant power outlet, then just turn it off with the remote or standby/power (not the main) switch. ©

A stab in the dark here ! look for a back up battery for the clock. I don`t know your particular model, it may not have a battery !! Just a thought. Cheers Pete !
