John 11:35 Jesus wept.

When I first read this verse, it was the first time that it struck home with me that God was crying over us because we are like children, we just do not understand what it is all about. I was just a child myself when I read this verse, maybe if I was older it would have been another verse, but this one stuck because I felt that He was crying for me. Who cares for me, who loves me enough to cry for me? Oh this is not selfish, not at all, because to me that meant if He could love me, even me, then surely He must love everyone!

However, this is a little selfish. I guess that this verse is my second favorite one...
Genesis 6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.
...because without that verse, none of us would be here to be discussing anything, let alone be able to come to God forever in joy and life eternal.

Psalm 83:18, because it is the one verse with God's name that is most often rendered with his name, instead of just a title.

"that they may know that you alone, whose name is Yahweh/Jehovah, are the Most High over all the earth" Ps 83:18

Dear Lester,

I have many verses I like.
One of them is Jude 1: 24
"To him who is able to keep you from falling and to present you before his glorious presence without fault and with great joy."

I guess you didn't read the book. Using one verse as oppose to another is like asking which book should we burn.
