my partner and i got into a debate about how long the M25 has been opened. also the dartford tunnel.

i said the dartford tunnel had been open longer than motorway, prob about 10+ years longer.

i also said m25 had prob been open about 23 years

also the part of the road that goes through the tunnel is an A road and u join the Motorway by a slip road the other side, when travelling north, he says the motorway carries on through it.

who can settle this arguement

an awful lot depends on it lol

The Dartford Tunnel opened in 1963 and is NOT part of the M25.

The M25 was built bit by bit from 1975 onwards - see http://www.iht.org/motorway/m25papers1.htm

A simple Google search found the answer - in full at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dartford_Crossing

Well I was going to say that the Dartford Tunnel was built before the M25 and that it is not Part of the M25.

But when you choose best answer I would choose the first one he has even looked it up for you how nice is that!
