The woman I dated a few times is of different religion than me. I'm Jewish and she is Lutheran. How do I tell her that religion is the reason for no longer being interested?

Just tell her you can only marry a Jewish woman. Maybe she'll convert for you.

Does she wonder why you haven't called? If she does, be honest and tell her because of religion difference. I'm sure any good christian would understand this. Some have converted to the other persons religion while some people would relinquish their religion for love and others are remain committed. Either is acceptable I would think. Good Luck!!

Be honest. Just please do it nicely. Just please sit down with her in private somewhere (over coffee maybe), and let her know that there is nothing wrong with her, but that you are finding there is an important difference that makes it for the two of you to not work out. Tell her it's because of the faith matter. That you are not going to convert to Luthren, and don't expect her to convert to Jewish. Thank her for the times you two have gone out together. By telling her. No point in letting it go on any further. She will be hurt as is it so end it. HA if you don't really like her, and she wants to convert, what will you do then? Don't use the religious excuse if you really do not mean it.

Just tell her. There is no way around it. If that's what you believe then you can't really let yourself go against those beliefs. Just take her out for coffee and explain why it won't work. If she respects your beliefs then there's no reason why the two of you can't stay friends.

I don't think religion is the reason, because if you love each other you would have sorted out this problem.

ummm so why did u date her in the first place? shouldnt that be important for you to ask right away if thats why you dont want to date her now? you should be more careful. let her know your feelings. peace
