Regular milk can often give cats loose bowels. There is a product called Cat-Sip that is milk that they can digest. Most cats also like sour cream, and yogurt in small amounts.

It sounds like your cat has been hurt (not by you of course) or frightened or is not feeling well. Has anything happened lately that has hurt or frightened her or made a big change in her life? Did you just recently bring her back in to stay? If so she may be feeling like a prisoner but that will lessen as days go by. Is there a new cat or other animal or person in the home or could she be smelling a new place or pet from some where else on you? If that is the case she will probably get more comfortable with that as time goes on.

Is she eating and drinking normally? Using her litter box normally? If she isn't eating and drinking normally or isn't using her box or seems in pain when she uses it she needs to go ti the vets to see what is wrong and how to help her. If she is eating and drinking and using the box OK she is probably upset by or about something. Start by letting her approach you. Put her food down and sit quietly near it. Do that a couple of days. If she has no problem eating with you nearby start moving the food a little closer to you and talking softly to her a little bit while she eats. An a few days you can put the food on your lap or in a dish in your hand and see if she will come to you to eat. Offer treats the same way. Tempting as it is do not grab her or force her to let you hold her.

If she still acts like something is wrong in a week or so call the vet and see if they think this change in her behavior indicates a need for a check up to be sure she is not sick or hurting because cats sometimes express hurt or distress by changes in behavior.

One last thought could she be pregnant? Some cats act almost secretative when they are pregnant and get moody.

yes your cat can have milk, but only a little, and only about once a week unless you get the special "cat milk". Most cats are lactose intolerant and can get an upset tummy from drinking regular milk. I think maybe the reason your cat jumps and runs it just because it is a cat. My cat does the same thing and sometimes it will bite me or pounce me for no reason other than it wanting to. Just continue to love your cat and pet and hold it when it lets you, that's all I do.

Kittens produce an enzyme called lactase that helps them digest a sugar called lactose. I'm sure you've heard of it. It's found in all milk, including cow's milk and cat's milk. Kittens, of course, drink their mother's milk and must be able to digest lactose.

But as the kitten gets older and he starts eating other foods, he begins to lose the ability to produce lactase. That means he'll start having trouble digesting lactose, and therefore, milk will be hard to digest. This usually happens to kittens starting around 12 weeks old.

So what it really ends up being is, cats over 12 weeks are usually lactose intolerant! And just like lactose intolerant people, cats will often get gas and diarrhea and even vomiting if they're allowed to drink milk. So it's a good idea NOT to give your cat any milk unless it's lactose-free

I had given milk drop to my cat twice, those treats specially bought from pet store, and both times he had diarrhoea! So I strongly do not recommend giving milk to cats. Most cat books/magazines will also tell you the same thing.

No ...she can't have milk ...I know this from experience ..but you can give her catsip which is a milk made for cats ...other than that I wouldn't try it unless you want to clean up a mess ...to answer your other question ...just give her time ...she probably had a bad experience outside with someone mistreating her ....let her sniff yur hand before you pet her ...but don't try to force her ...she will learn to trust you in time ...

cats are lactose intollerant.

as for her being scared of you, you did that to her, by letting her be a poor outdoor cat, I don't get why people do such a cruel thing to cats.

DO NOT.....give her cow's milk its dangerous for them ....if she is a kitten and does not have teeth then you can hand feed her in a baby bottle (for kittens)...BUT....if she does have teeth she should eat solid food preferably dry kitten/adult food (because dry food helps to keep their teeth in good health and help protect against tartar build up) but remember DONT GIVE HER COW'S MILK...

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!
