I now believe that Jesus is of God! I'm serious, I did not expect this at all. I actually cried and asked for forgiveness because in the past few months I have been trashing Jesus in my mind and calling him all kinds of things and laughing about it...now I feel awful and I did not even expect this. I was excited for this show because I thought I would feel better about having left my beliefs in Jesus but the show is actually bringing me back to Jesus!

I've never been more serious in my life...this is not even a joke. I left Christianity a few months ago and I've been calling Jesus all kinds of names, I even called him Satan. Look at my past questions, it will explain my spiritual battle. I swear I was expecting this show to make me laugh and feel better about leaving Jesus but it did the exact opposite. I cried and I asked Jesus to forgive me and I swear I thought about so many verses in my head. I felt like Jesus was right behind me, I really did!! I cried! ...can you believe me?? ............I don't know what's come over me after I watched the show. I feel so different...

Thats WONDERFUL------this mean you are now my SISTER----------oh I'm just soooo happy!---------when you opened your heart to Him----all your sins were cast away forever and you now have a clean slate! Now remember--------each and every day most of us have to get our sins under the blood again because every single one of us are still human and carnal-minded by nature----we can never be saved by being righteous-----it is by that same saving grace you now feel-----this is so beautiful! Welcome to the Family of God!

I watched part of the show and then I watched the Ted Koppel show afterward where people were debating. I thought that was more interesting than the actual show. I have to tell you as a Christian I'd been very nervous about the airing of this show all week. I had been praying about it. I was hoping it wouldn't cause people to lose faith. Imagine my surprise at hearing someone say it helped them GAIN faith. Wow! God Bless you. I was thinking about what to say if I got into a debate about this controversy on this site. What can a Christian say to convince someone Jesus rose from the dead? Then I thought of what I would have said:
When His love comes to life inside your heart, that's when you know Jesus is alive. Wouldn't you agree?

I totally believe you. I just watched the show, and I feel much the same way. For me, the show actually gave me something more concrete to believe in as regards to Jesus. The thought that I could actually be looking at the remains of Jesus chilled me to the bone! Talk about the ultimate "relic." I guess the reason it effected me this way, is because I don't really believe in the physical resurrection of Jesus, and have not believed in that for some time. So I would fully expect for Jesus's bones to have been buried somewhere in Israel. So that part is actually not surprising to me. But to actually SEE it is chilling. And the story makes you feel for Jesus. If he really had a son that was killed as a child, because of the fact that he was a potential future King from the line of David, that is sad. Look at how many of his family were murdered! It makes you really feel for him.

I skipped it and watched The Dark Ages on History Channel and TiVO'd TLTOJ. Cameron and Jacobovici did a show on the Exodus last year that was full of convulted theories and it looks like they're still at it.
To quote Belloq from Raiders of the Lost Ark "You're going to give archaeology a bad name."

I pray that you mean that, The show as i expected was stupid
imagine Jesus and Mary had a son and were able to hide him their entire life, dumb.I can see how this could bring people to Jesus ,by showing He is a historical fact, and science is always looking.

I am glad for you. I had a different reaction. I watched it at a friend's house because I don't have cable. When I left her house I went for a very long drive. I prayed to the Saints and Angels. I didn't know what to think. But I am OK now.
Peace.

I don't get it, there are two options, right:
a) the tomb contains Jesus and the whole resurrection thing is a complete fabrication
b) the story is fake, and there is no additional evidence pro/con to be found here
how could either option 'bring you back to Jesus'?

james cameron is a very stuped man.
he thinks that by a stuped documentary he will change what what people alwayes belived. The lost tomb of Jesus shold be not a documentary but rather a comedy show and a bad one.
