he can't walk up and be like okay sir I am homosexual, they wont believe him, and if they did he would be kicked out with less than honorable discharge and that means that it will haunt him for the rest of his life, employers don't want someone that was in the military and QUIT to work for them, what kind of longevity does that show. I think that he should just work out the time that he signed up for, he signed a contract and should abide by it, another reason that it will haunt him, no one is going to be like Oh this guy signed a contract and took a oath and then decided he didn't want to, lets have him do something trustworthy.

i don't understand concerning to the national shield, even nevertheless it particularly is equivalent to the British Territorial military, so i'll head on what i understand of that. interior the TA, you're in basic terms area time, so which you've gotten the means to go homestead and see your boyfriend a lot extra advantageous than a regular soldier. for my area, you may connect, there could be extra females interior the forces.

Who ever it was that told you that, doesn't like you or him..Proclaiming such a thing or hitting on someone that is not will get you a dis honorable discharge! It is a volunteer military now and all he has to do is tell them he wants out and sign the paperwork.

Tell you boyfriend that he should be shot for even thinking such a thing. Not only would prove he is not a man by professing himself to be a homosexual, he would much less of a man by not following through with the committment he made.

Let me guess. He is wetting the bed scared to go to Iraq. I hope he does tell someone he is a homo, and the Army finds out he is not, and he goes to prison for 10 years.

Right...that's going to work. Like that's never been tried. Well maybe only 10,000 times. Do you really want to be with a guy that lies, brakes his world and can't keep a commitment?

And yes..I did serve in the military and I was in Iraq.

I'll be interested to find out how this works... :)

Is your boyfriend cute? Maybe we can put together some photographic evidence... lol

Just kidding - it's funny though, it makes you wonder which is more important to them - sending people to die for oil or hating gay people?

I've always thought it was weird... wouldn't they want to put gay people on the front lines if they dislike them so much?
That's what they tried to do with black soldiers in the 60's... That's actually what the Black Panthers were fighting, you know. They were not cop killers - they were feeding the homeless and protesting the recruitment of blacks to go to war for a country where they were still not equal.

I guess they just don't want people to think of gay people as being brave... they like thinking of us as wimpy boys.

I do not think your boyfriend is a coward... only people who don't value life would say that. And all these people who are answering that he is a coward (and giving me thumbs down) are sitting in their comfortable homes in front of their expensive computers right now - alive... not being GW's pawn in the desert.

Man up and tell him to suck it up. Commit to the service he said he would. Lying his way out is not right. Besides, would you want to be with someone that had no integrity to the point where he lied about his own sexuality?

Well now, he shouldn't have joined to begin with!!! All I can say is boy what a panzy!!! I can tell you that you have to ask yourself this and him more then you, Do you really want to look like a queer to get out of the military? I wouldn't have to think on that one too much!!! If you want to really get out then just do the nut case routine and be done with it!! You still have to live out the rest of your life with a label on you!!! IS IT WORTH IT?

No. Do not allow him to profess himself as a homosexual. BUT, regarding his committment to the military, well they probably lied to him same as they did to me to get him to join. So, I'd say, screw the military. They can always find someone to stop a bullet. The best way I have found to be kicked out of the military is to behave dangerously. I mean, honestly, as if he has a death wish almost. I was in the Army and volunteered for any dangerous thing that came my way. I was sent to a shrink. I cussed the shrink out and got sent to another shrink. I told that one that I had been trained for years to be a killer and now was ready to KILL!! They tried to discharge me, and in the end, I had to nearly beg them to let me stay in. Behaving dangerously will work and will save his honor as it will not be his fault that he became the killer they wanted him to be. I went to the war, but never got to kill anyone. I was, however, watched very closely by my platoon and was only allowed live ammo when near the enemy...which were mostly old ladies and babies. FU! GW Bush!!

if they have even the SLIGHTEST inkling that he is lying, that will make it so very much worse for him than if he just honored his comittment and finished his contract.

You should be ashamed of yourself for wanting your BF to lie, cheat and weasle his way out of a commitment. That is selfish and immature of you.
