Filler, Binder, and wrapper are only the 3 major parts of the cigar...it has very little to do with the number or kinds of tobacco used...

The Wrapper consists of one leaf, and this leaf typically gives the cigar 60-80% of it's flavor...70-80% when a Maduro leaf is used.

The Binder also consists of one leaf, and usually this leaf is a "seco" leaf..Seco leaves are usually found in the middle of the tobaccoplant...(the levels of the plant are called "primings") Seco is a milder tobacco.

Last you have the Filler. Depending on the guage of the cigar you can have anywhere from 3-8 leaves in the filler...These leaves usually consist of Seco, Volado, and Ligero tobaccos, the more Ligero the fuller the body (stronger).

But to answer as basic as I can, a typical premium cigar consists of around 4-6 leaves of tobacco..All could be uniquely different..but usually your talking about 4 different types of tobacco.

Generally there are at least 3 kinds. The filler, binder, and wrapper. The filler can also subsist of several types to make a certain blend.
