Are most people like this?

I was talking with my friend today and she said if she or anybody had a boy/girl friend. They would still think other people are cute/hot, like celebrities, etc, etc. I find that surprising and a little dissapointing. Because as for me, if I like someone, I can only see them and everyone else just doesn't seem interesting AT ALL to me. So my question is if you like someone, do you still check out other people and you find them attrative? or are you only attrated to your mate, or that special person?

i'm attracted to that person, yes, but it would be absolutely against human nature to not find a "hot" member of the opposite sex unattractive. if i see an attractive person, i can recognize that they are hot, and, yes, i think they ARE hot. but that doesn't mean i'm gonna go after them!! if i love someone, it doesn't matter if i see other people on the street that are attractive, that is only a physical attraction, whereas the relationship there is such a much stronger attraction than just physical attributes.

What you have experienced is whats called the "infactuation" stage. This is the short time in the beginning of the relationship when you are obsesssed with the other person. After this passes, you will start noticing other people again. So short answer: YES everyone is like this.

If I really like girl, she is all I think about. I may notice other girls, but I think about her when I see them. I haven't felt that way in a long time about a girl though. I hope it will never change.

yea i may notice others girls for a short period of time and i would compare them with the girl i like and ill be like dang those girls are nothing like the girl i like...im my mind i would always pick the girl that i like over the other girls...
