NO! I lost my dad when i was 15yrs old. And i just recently lost my mom it isn't easy to live without them not noway shape or form. While they are here on this earth take care of them , love them with everthing you have and never take for granted anything they do for you or ask you to do for them. Make it last and make alot of very good memories you will need them later on in life. Also take alot of pictures of them , i mean alot. TRUST ME!!!!!! You dont know what you have lost until they are gone for good. Always call ,write , what ever it takes to let them know you love them and appriciate them.

I only see this in caucasion families. You don't see this with Hispanic families and Asian families. Of course, there are exceptions to the rule, but I sure am glad I was born Asian. I have no problems taking care of my parents, and even my grandparents. I know that my chances are high that I will be getting the same thing in return from my future kids.
I think ignoring parents is a very selfish and cold and ungrateful, but I also think that the parents reap what they sowed. I don't see too many caucasian parents doing much for their kids, so they shouldn't expect anything in return. Like I said, there are exceptions to the rule, but I see a pattern. It seems more like a cultural thing than a racial thing.

Hi Dear...
No... life without parents is not called a life
No one can deny the supreme sacrifice and care that a mother renders to her child. The mother carries him (in her womb) by enduring strain after strain. And subsequently, at the time of birth, she is suspended between life and death. All this she faces with determination as much as patience barring any regret or anger.
After the child is born, the mother looks after him and brings him up with enormous love. She breast-feeds him for as long as two years, after which she continues to look after her child with all sincerity, regardless of the strain and travail (hard labour) that accompanies such a task. Without doubt, the mother sacrifices time, energy and much more in bringing up her child.
Because of her child, the mother is often forced to go without sufficient sleep------ sacrificing and forgoing much-needed rest. As a consequence, it is only but natural that she would constantly suffer from exhaustion and fatigue. But strangely enough,in reality, the opposite occurs. She is always happy and energetic.
A father’s sacrifice is just as big. It is the father who is the bread winner in the family; he provides money for food, clothing, shelter, education, health and other necessities for the family.
God Bless U

Agreed....Parents gave us all they could...when we were small...also agreed one must be grateful to them for ever coz they gave us direction to sort our future. Agreed everything.
Now can i ask the same question to parents....Did they not ignore their parents while they were busy feeding us and chasing our dreams??? this is life....parents grow up children and help them make their future not to accept the kids to cling onto their parents just because they feel that parents were most precious....See you got to strike a balance between your parents, children and your career. If you can manage,...then good ...if you can't then dont other to trouble your soul by asking such questions....coz you wish to make your career and your kid's careers too...and i dont seem parents having any problem with that....coz that's what you rose u up for.

learning to be independent is important, but for me, it's not easy to let go of the two most important people in my life.. they have played an important role in my life and they will always be a part of it no matter what happens.. those who say they don't have time as an excuse obviously don't know their priorities...

i can understand your point of view... its really something usually no1 ever tries to think... like you told, all are thinking about their own futures..
but then, what do ur parents want from you?? your success, right?? thats what you are trying to achieve.. but later at some point you tend to forget who you really need to care for.. your parents.. you get too much involved in your thought and work that you forge them.. which is where you need to correct yourself.. once you are psetty successful and your parents are happy cos of you, its your turn to keep them happy through-out... and never let them go out of focus..
something that all the present youth shoud know..

Yeah, I guess they can. I also also guess it depends on the parents. I love my Mom. I hope she knows how much and that I give her the respect she deserves.
