The ones I know of are herpes (the cold sore virus), shingles (the painful condition of herpes where you can only get it if you have had chicken pox) BTW, usually older people get it. Then venereal herpes. I know there are different names for them. I can't remember what they are. I had a couple of cold sores as a child but, that's the only herpes I've had.

there are two types. Simplex and complex. the former is found in the form of lesions on the lips and face, the latter is also known as genital herpes and is found obviously in similar lesions on and around the genitalia. One form can be transferred to either area, so if you have a cold sore, be sure to be very careful about washing your hands prior to toileting and after. There are many medications available now for the treatment of herpes but there is no cure.

Herpes simplex and herpes zoster. H. zoster is shingles, due to the chicken pox virus staying in the body. H. simplex type I causes cold sores or oral herpes while type II causes genital herpes. Both I and II can cause encephalitis in an unborn baby, when transmitted through the placenta. In a baby, type II is more severe.

How many Britney Spears albums are there?

Just kidding - I don't know how many are classified... all viruses have different strains though... like there is Herpes Simplex (which gives you cold sores) and there is also the kind you get from sex...
I'm sure there a lot more... but those are the two most common.
