Good question! I personally believe that the tomb has been found and the Church and doesn't want people to find out the truth. They have been known to manipulate evidence before.

Actually there are others in the Bible. In the Old Testaent, you find at least two different men named Joshuah (that's Jesus). He is called often Jesus of Nazareth in order to specify which Jesus because people knew of others; also "that same Jesus". I can imagine the New Testament writers choosing not to refer to any other Jesus if they can avoid it, although it seems to me I remember another Jesus being referred to at least once. Only it is 2:00 in the morning (I just got up for a few minutes) and am too sleepy to look it up in my concordance. It is an Israeli archeologist who claims that the name Jesus was one of the common names at the time.

The name is Joshua which was common at the time. Jesus is a made up Greek version that came later. So The historical figure that Jesus is based on would have been called Rabbi Joshua Ben Joseph.
Jesus as a name (and some would say more) was an invention of Greek intellectuals and it mean what it sounds like "Je sus" "He's Zues" that is God and Man at the same time...

Don't you think the people would have recognized that it was two or more different people? Was it like "Hey that Jesus that just made that cripple guy walk ain't the same Jesus that made that blind guy see" Did they say to each other "They crucified and killed Jesus but that's a different Jesus who just rose" I somehow doubt it. Kind of like some black guy from Alabama giving a televised speech saying he's President George Bush. Would something tell you that it's not the same guy you knew as President Bush all these years?

they all refer to the same Jesus if you have faith. The bible has 4 gospels and unless they were all running around following many different Jesus's, Mark, Mattlew, Luke and John were writing about the same man.
There may be many people during the time called Jesus but there was only one who performed all the miracles, died, rose and will come again.

I think you miss understood the whole documentary. They were calculating the odds of finding a common name like Jesus son of joseph combined with the names of his family that were found in the tomb, which would be less common. They never said 100% that it was the tomb of CHRIST but it had very good odds that it could be.

That's one of the craziest questions I've seen. Jesus of Nazareth, by some estimates, lived in a town of about 1500-2000. How many of those do you suppose were buried in a tomb at all? How many had 1 brother exactly? Etcetra.

From your question I can see that you do not know our Savior Jesus Christ personally. He wants to know you, love you and heal any and all of the things that have hurt you; He is the healer.
For God so loved the world that He sent His only begotten Son and whosoever believes in Him shall not perish...
Jesus is knocking now and now is the time for salvation. All have fallen short of the glory of God, for all have sinned. When we ask God to forgive us for our sins and we believe in Jesus Christ as God's only begotten Son, and that God rose Him from the dead three days later and we mean it in our hearts, we have a spiritual awakening and this is what you are missing out on. Don't let another minute go by; ask God to show you, to forgive you and for Jesus Christ to come into your heart and to be your best friend and to guide you...
He is kind and good and humble and if you but do this little bit, you too can know Him personally.
You know how you get a letter from a loved one and you read it over and over again? Well our heavenly Father wrote us a letter (the Holy Bible) we all need to read this letter ask God to help you It is written "...we do not have because we do not ask...."
Once blind,
Sista C
P.S. You will see how Jesus Christ alone fullfilled the Holy Bible prophesies and like me and so many others your eyes will open and you will be so grateful...whew!

Interconnectedness - one could say that there are as many Jesus as people who have an experience of Christ's Grace. You could also say these are the same Jesus' and so there are one. You initial argument is about the same as saying how many Hillary's are there, and worrying that 2000 years from now someone will confuse Hillary Clinton with any other Hillary.
