Screen help?

When I go to settings for my screen resilution I can only put it up to1280 x 768. I have a Samsun LCD TV 26' Is there a program I can use to set it higher or is that as high as it supports?

As a rule the maximum resolution is listed on the back of the tv. Otherwise, check on Samsung's website and do a search for your model number of the tv and read the specs.
